What do you do before games to pump you up? I imagine executing the game plan in my head and then picture us winning.

What is harder, dealing with your sons or with college student-athletes? That's a very funny question! It's hard to compare the two directly, but my student-athletes would be relieved to hear that my sons are more exhausting! They just never stop and they are so dependent on you that every moment is a challenge while being incredibly rewarding at the same time.

What was your favorite activity to do when you were a kid? My favorite activity when I was a kid was probably playing with my siblings and neighbors in my back yard. I was kind of a tomboy, so playing football in the street was something I participated in on a regular basis and loved to do as well.

What do you look for in a recruit? Talent is the obvious answer, but being at The University of Texas there is much more that goes into the equation than just talent. On the court I look for athleticism, court presence and demeanor, and I try to see what type of teammate she is, both on and off the court. Character is a huge part of the recruiting process. It is also very important that the prospective student-athlete is dedicated to their school work. We hold our student athletes to very high academic standards. The primary goal and responsibility of all of us is to make sure our student-athletes are focused on their studies and graduate with a degree that will carry them for the rest of their lives.
